About 300 diabetes experts coming from Italy and all over EU, US, Australia, Japan and Israel will meet in Naples, Oct. 28-30, 2010.

The scientific organization of the Symposium is traditionally managed by a Committee made up of international leaders in the areas of diabetes, associated disorders and insulin action. This Symposium has always worked as a catalyst, favoring the transfer of scientific innovation to the sectors of the diagnosis and treatment of diabetes mellitus and its complications.

The Congress foresees the presentation and discussion of concepts that have emerged over the last three years on various topics. Among these, the molecular details of the new face with which the morbidity and mortality of diabetes present itself in the 21st century and, with this in mind, the development of innovative strategies for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diabetes and associated disorders. It is our intention that once again the Congress will produce constructive scientific collaborations and promote the transfer of new concepts from research to the fields of diagnostics and clinical practice. It is also a tradition, in the organization of the Congress, to encourage the participation of young scholars. We therefore sincerely hope that also on this occasion, companies from the pharmaceutical and biotechnological sectors will be able to help us achieve this aim.
